Our lamb is raised naturally- on pasture. This stress-free, pastoral setting provides us and our animals a life we all enjoy. Our grass-fed lambs are not give hormones or antibiotics. We are a predator friendly farm and use livestock guard dogs to protect our flock.
Contrary to what some people are now lead to believe, states can allow local butchers to slaughter and process meats. Some states might have more restrictive laws which prohibit this, but in Pennsylvania, many local butchers are inspected by USDA personnel during the slaughter process- which is required for us (family farmers) to be able to sell our meats. Our butcher is USDA inspected and he only processes a dozen or so animals a week. He is a kind man and respects the animals. This is important to us, and gives us comfort that your family is getting the safest, highest quality food available.
We sell by the whole, half or individual cuts. All meat is vacuum packed, labelled, and frozen. We do ship and we charge actual UPS shipping costs. When you buy from us, you are directly supporting a family farm and local butch- not a bunch of “middlemen”.
